Brilliant

Concept: 9/10-
even though the idea was from another game, it was still brilliantly executed
Graphics: 8/10
pretty darn good graphics considering how little lag there was
Physics: 10/10
I haven't seen this good of physics in a while, awesome action scripting.
Overall: 10/10

I love this game, lvl 37. I can't wait till I beat it. I'm disappointed that there are only 40 levels, but I understand how hard it must have been for you to have made 40. If you ever do get a chance, I'd advise you to make a sequel. I think this should be an advertisement for the official Valve game. I might even go out and get the real game now that I've seen how awesome this is.

Kudos

Nice Start

I think it was a pretty good start. But try not to submit 'tests' or 'game engines' to the portal. Upload them to denvish.net/ul and then put a link to it in the forums. That way people can give advice on what you should do.

Nice graphics, btw. I would like to see the finished product.

Great game

but do you think you could add a 'Are you sure you want to save, this will erase your old game?' button because there were a few times when I accidentally saved over my game.
Very original, I loved all the items you could collect. The fact that you were an ostrich was hilarious. I hope you make a sequel.

i liked the other 2 better

I'm not exactly sure why, but I liked the last two better. Probably because of the new game play. I didn't like how you had to hold your mouse down to move the string, it was too easy. It also didn't give it much of a 'string' feeling, while the other 2 did. I'm not saying this one was bad, I just didn't like how you moved around as much. The levels where a nice change in this one, and I liked the slowmo, but it was kinda pointless when you had to hold your mouse down.

Yeah, I thought so too. Eh, it's good to experiment, now I know what to do/what not to do next time.

nice entree

Nice job on this one, this kind of game is a bit over done though.

In the middle of a song, the game froze, but the song was still playing, and when it unfroze it had already finished the song. And then randomly after I had closed the game, the song started playing again, in fact as I'm writing this it's still playing :S.

I'm not sure what caused it to freeze, because when the game was playing fine, there was no lag.

The graphics where nice, and the sound was fairly good.

I actually have no idea either...so im sorry for any inconvenience :S it actually never did that to me before so im as surprised as you.

Great Job!

Really original, though toast and toasters have been quite popular on newgrounds.

The game was great, up until one part where i found quite a big glitch. I was near some door with an eye on it, and I went in the toaster just before the door, jumped out to get the heart, and i fell right off the screen, and i kept falling and falling and falling.

I just thought I'd let you know about that one glitch. Other than that it's a great game.

sinaiman responds:

Hey, thanks for the review. I would REALLY appreciate it if you could possibly recreate the glitch again and maybe PM us what happened exactly (Also, what browser are you using and such) Knowing will enable us to be able to fix this faster, thanks for notifying us about the glitch though :)!

Thanks for playing,

- Reza

ok job.

You did an okay job on this, but it was way to repetitive. It looks like everything was just in a big loop.

You should add more enemies, and randomize it more. The grenade always landed in the same spot, the ufo always beamed the same spot, that little creature thing did the same thing, mix it up a bit.

I'm guessing you just animated the attackers, and they just loops themselves. That may be why it was really repetitive.

good luck on your future projects

mooseisloose responds:

Yeah it was all animated and looped... but not the next one! I have very nearly finished the sequel to this (I only made it because this one was a success) and all enemies appear in random order in random places! Also there's more enemies of course =p

Great Job

Nice job on this one, I did have one problem though, when you finish a level, after you click the 'next' button your jellyfish goes towards where your mouse was (which was where the button was). This is troublesome because I could not avoid the bad objects when this happened. I always ended picking up like 1 or 2, without me actually doing anything yet.

Overall it was a nice game. Very Original.

I had this exact idea

Well sort of.

I thought of this before too, but mine was sort of a defend your base thing, and i notice you have the same problem i had.. when you hold down your mouse on the ball (and don't release) you can just touch all the red circles without ever having to release.

Leik responds:

Lol, yes I plan on fixing this with a sly idea I just though of. It should work fine.
Keep your eyes out for number 2 :D.

Nice Game

This is a great game, tho, I could not look at the locker with the "21" on it. I kept looking and looking, but he just kept saying how he could never find his locker. I'm not sure if that was a glitch, or just I had to do something first.

The game seemed to be great, what I did so far was awesome.

I'll try again later to see if I can get it this time.

LiLg responds:

The door with 21 on it. Not the locker.
